I have been buying Donald Pliner shoes for many years. They used to have the absolute most comfortable shoes anywhere. Probably 15 years ago, DP sold this company to new owners. Since then they just can't get the comfort level back to what it was when original owners owned it. This shoe footbed is my favorite. It gives decent height with the wedge and it's slip on. The slope of the footbed is perfect, and comfortable. This is what I look for. And I love the slip on style making it so easy to get on an off. And the color is lovely. However the straps that cover the top of the foot are uncomfortable, stiff and scratchy. Why is that? Many DP shoes have uncomfortable straps covering the top of the foot. Also, even at sale price DP is higher than most other sites. I don't get it. I returned them.

Love these shoes! Comfortable and good looking. I bought a 7, which is usually a little large for me but not his time. They barely fit. I’d go a 1/2 size up.
