This Lovely sandal would look far more elegant if the sole was black on the black and tan color way. The light tan sole unfortunately cheapens an otherwise elegant summer sandal. IMHO.

These sandals are quite lovely on the foot, however, there is a piece of elastic on the inner part of the strap and the edges next to the elastic rub on the foot. I was able to bend it and I hope it will stay bent away from the foot. I don't know why this elastic was necessary. It doesn't seem like it is needed and would be much more comfortable without it. That being said, I think they are great looking sandals and comfortable once that edge is bent. I bought them in the black and tan, and also in the tobacco. Very nice for summer and neutral enough to go with everything with a bit of texture added in to the mix. I read the other review saying that because the sole is not black they are not elegant. I never thought of these shoes as elegant. They are every day shoes for going to nice places. I like the sole in that it is sturdy and cushions the foot from anything on the street.
